Welcome! Thank you for being here. Are you feeling anxious, down, or stuck? We all experience struggles from time to time where we could use more support. Coming to therapy will help you gain a better understanding of who you are, where you come from, and how to cope with life's challenges. I offer a personalized approach to therapy designed to help you discover new insights into yourself and your relationships. I work to create a space where you have the freedom to express yourself without judgement, and leave having felt heard and understood. Together we can map out a way for you to accomplish your goals and make the changes you seek.
I work with anxiety, depression, bereavement, relational conflict, low self-esteem, and issues of personal growth. I treat survivors of various trauma, including complex and single events. I use a humanistic client centered / attachment based perspective, drawing from other traditional psychodynamic techniques, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness.
I have completed both levels 1 and 2 of EMDR training from EMDRIA-certified EMDR Institute and am a Certified Meditation Teacher.
I believe everyone is capable of making desired changes in their life, and that creating supportive, meaningful relationships can bring a great sense of accomplishment and joy.
Areas of Specialization:
Death and loss
Individual weekly sessions.
I use a combination of Humanistic, Psychodynamics modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Solution Focused Therapy, tailored to suit the needs of the individual. I work with people with anxiety, depression, death and loss, relationship conflicts, and low self esteem.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy.
EMDR is one of the primary techniques I use in working with clients. I have found that most of us have some form of trauma that is interfering with our lives. These traumas come in all sizes and just because something may not seem like it should be traumatic it could very well be negatively impacting your life. In EMDR we will confront your traumatic memories and heal them so that you are no longer controlled by the intense emotions linked to that memory. Once your trauma and fear no longer control your life, you will be free to move forward unencumbered by the weight your past.
